About Keefer Farms

eefer Farms & Greenhouses, located in the heart of Richmond's farming community, has been operated by three generations of the Keefer's for over 50 years. Twenty-five years ago, we expanded our farming operations to include greenhouses and a bagged soil product line. This resulted in the development of our one of a kind Victorian moss hanging baskets and the quality range of soil and soil products we are now known for.  Dan and Donna Keefer place quality above all other attributes and they constantly strive and work hard to ensure all their products meet their high standards.

 Starting with just a peat soil mix, Dan Keefer has expanded his product line over time and it now includes: landscape soil, planter box mix, hanging basket mix (new for 2005), soil energizer, composted manures, and drainage products. All the soil mixes have been tested under commercial growing conditions in our own greenhouse operation and farming, to ensure a high quality product. Anything we sell, we also use. Additionally, we regularly have our soils tested at a commercial soil testing facility for consistency and quality.
